Taekwondo Federation was founded on May 28, 1973. It currently
has about 145 countries as members. In 1974 it was admitted
to the Asian Games as an official sport. It was a competitive
Olympic sport for the First Time at the 2000 Olympic Games
in Sydney, Australia.As a martial art Taekwondo has a great
effect on children’s growth and development as well
as youth’s and elders physical fitness.The Taekwondo
is already included in C.R.P.F., C.I.S.F., Punjab Police,
SSB, Services, DPS Society, Kendriya Vidhalaya Sangathan,
C.B.S.E. and School National Games. They all are attached
with our Federation. C.B.S.E. include Taekwondo as a subject
in Physical Education in 11th &^ 12th Class.NIS and Certificate
Course of Taekwondo has been started in Bangalore. There is
a SAI (Sports Authority of India) Center for Taekwondo Subject.
